StayWhole’s Athletic division’s mission is to give that community a voice to speak on the toll of the combination of stress in athletics. Some of the board members were a part of this community and from experiences feel that more should be done at all levels of athletics. Our goal is to bring attention to this population which will allow them to share their stories. Stories about hard-working athletes, who show no signs of instability, resorting to negative coping mechanisms must be lessened. Many tools and mental practices will be shared that will be beneficial in everyday living and on their playing field and/or court.
"Our goal is to bring attention to this population which will allow them to share their stories."
Want to get involved?
The Athletic Division is home for athletes from all locations, and levels. Even graduated athletes; who can help to spread awareness of mental health in sports. The high school and college chapters of StayWhole will have opportunities to be involved in events consisting of conventions, life skills, and more.
StayWhole will use its platform to help athletes share their stories, as well as keep updates on mental health movements in the athletic community. Our main goal is to infiltrate the community from middle school on up and teach them about how important it is to take care of yourself while involved in demanding sports.
